Intern - Project: Sustainable and Social Cause Related Sourcing to support ESG initiatives of large companies.

Tiger Pug is a cross-border commerce company that is promoting Made in India products through its IndiaKa initiative. 


We are seeking interns to work with us on the following:


  1. Identifying sources of products (raw materials and finished goods) made by social or economically developing or backward communities.

  2. Engaging with them to understand more about their products, the supply chain, quality, and suitability for corporate purchase.

  3. Setting up agreements and supply arrangements including commercial terms with identified sources

  4. Identifying corporate buyers who would potentially purchase goods and services from our identified sources.

  5. Setting up communication channels with prospects

The positions are based in Mumbai. Interns will be expected to travel and meet with communities identified across India.


 Project Leader:  Burlap and Jute Finished Goods B2B Portal

Project Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Manager to spearhead the establishment of, a B2B portal dedicated to showcasing burlap-based products from India, Bangladesh, and China.

The primary objectives include identifying categories and products made of burlap, curating an appealing catalogue for Western audiences, establishing supplier contacts, estimating pricing and materials information, potential designs, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), and delivery timelines.

The project manager will also conduct an outreach to global prospects to evaluate responses.


Position Type: Full Time 


  • Categorize and identify burlap-based products available in India, Bangladesh, and China.

  • Curate a visually appealing catalogue suitable for Western audiences (USA, UK, Japan, France, Korea).

  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers from the aforementioned regions.

  • Gather estimated pricing, materials information, potential designs, MOQs, and delivery timelines from suppliers.

  • Collaborate with an inside sales team to develop a comprehensive database of prospects in target countries.

  • Oversee the inside sales team's efforts to reach out to global prospects and evaluate their responses.

  • Provide guidance, support, and supervision to the inside sales team.

  • Monitor project progress, ensuring timelines are met and quality standards are maintained.

  • Regularly communicate updates, challenges, and milestones to relevant stakeholders.


  • Proven project management experience, preferably in a cross-cultural and B2B context.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Experience in curating catalogues or product showcases.

  • Familiarity with the burlap industry and related products is a plus.

  • Proficiency in sourcing and supplier relationship management.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely while ensuring collaboration with the inside sales team.

  • Knowledge of Western markets and audience preferences.

  • Proficient in using project management tools and software.

  • Passion for style and sustainable sourcing 



  • Portal Setup Phase in Phase I

    • Identify categories and products

    • Curate catalogue for Western audiences

    • Establish supplier contacts and gather product information

    • Collaborate with inside sales team to develop prospect database

  • Outreach and Evaluation in Phase 2 

    • Conduct outreach to global prospects

    • Evaluate responses and gather feedback

    • Collaborate with the inside sales team on prospect engagement
